Itās that time again when we all can be guilty of setting unrealistically high goals to āhitā the gym and restrict our diet. Which, I admit is a positive attitude yes, but statistically the odds are stacked high that we may give up before January has even ended. š®āšØ
However, Iāve noticed, as a Yoga teacher of over 30 years, is that those who do yoga seem to maintain a level of discipline thatās always there.
( Not just for January)
Is it I wonder, because they have learned to control the āhighs and lowsā that life throws at us, and therefore know how exactly how to begin to ease back into a better diet regime?
Is it that those who attend yoga get to know exactly what their body needs when it comes to exercise?
I believe itās because they know not to push on till it hurts. They know not to force or compete?
They understand how to do less to achieve better results!
These days a good yoga teacher will include core strength and strengthening elements within their class too.
I hope to see you in class in 2026!
