Hello, I’m Sam, the founder of Viva Yoga Carlisle, and I’m excited to announce the launch of a brand-new class—Viva Well-Women—starting at 9:30 AM on 17th October. This class has been a long time coming, and it’s something I’m incredibly passionate about. Designed specifically to support women at all stages of life, it’s a class that blends yoga postures, breathwork, and resistance training to help promote physical and mental well-being.
Over my 30 years of teaching yoga, I’ve seen how yoga can be a transformative practice for women, particularly when tailored to our unique needs. That’s why I’ve created Viva Well-Women—a class dedicated to helping women feel strong, balanced, and calm in both body and mind.
Why I Created Viva Well-Women
As a woman, I’ve experienced firsthand the ebb and flow of life—whether that’s changes brought on by pregnancy, menopause, or simply the natural transitions we all go through. I’ve worked with many women over the years, and I’ve seen how yoga can help us navigate these changes with grace, strength, and a deep sense of peace.
Viva Well-Women is designed with all of this in mind. It’s a class that brings together the best of yoga and combines it with mindful resistance training to help you build strength, balance your hormones, and find clarity in your mind. Whether you’re a new mother, going through menopause, or simply looking for a practice that honours your body, this class is for you.
What to Expect from Viva Well-Women
In Viva Well-Women, we’ll be focusing on yoga postures that are gentle yet effective, aimed at supporting hormone balance, reducing stress, and building strength. I incorporate elements of Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Restorative Yoga, as well as resistance training, to create a practice that’s nurturing and empowering.
One of the things I love most about this class is how it meets you exactly where you are. You don’t need to be super flexible or have years of yoga experience. Whether you’re just beginning your yoga journey or have been practicing for a while, you’ll find that Viva Well-Women provides a safe and welcoming space for you to grow.

Meet Your Instructor
For those of you who don’t know me, I’ve been teaching yoga for over three decades now. My yoga journey began when I was looking for balance in my own life, and I’ve found that yoga has a way of not only strengthening the body but also bringing clarity and peace to the mind. Over the years, I’ve trained in various styles of yoga, from Hatha and Vinyasa to Yin and Restorative, and I use this broad knowledge to create classes that are accessible and effective for everyone.
I’m passionate about making yoga a practice that works for all women, regardless of their stage in life or level of experience. In Viva Well-Women, my goal is to help you feel empowered—both on and off the mat.
